For Neku Lovers
You were walking towards Hachiko. You got a text message to go there from Neku. You wondered why since this is the first time he ever texted you, let alone wanting to meet you. As you walked past the Scramble Crossing your heart started beating faster and faster. What could he want? you thought. He sounded really serious in the text. You sighed as you continued to walk towards Hachiko. When you get there you see Neku leaning on the statue looking at the sky. You could feel your cheeks heat up a bit as you walked over. He noticed your presence and smiled and waved. Wait…smiling? you thought. You cocked your head to the side in confusion. Neku hardly ever smiles. He usually just glares at everybody.
"Something wrong?" He asked snapping you out of your thoughts.
"O-Oh nothing." you stuttered. "S-so why did you call me here? Something up?"
He started rubbing the back of his head and looked away. You can see a faint blush on his face. "Well kinda," he said.
"Well what is it?" you ask.
"I, uh, damn how do I say this?" He said.
You kept getting more and more confused. Was this the same Neku you knew from school? Back then he never hung out with anyone and acted like everyone was just a nuisance.  Sure, he glanced at you from time to time but nothing special. You also noticed that his favorite headphones were resting on his shoulders, which was weird since he always had them on. A bunch of questions plagued your mind as Neku seemed to be searching for the right words for whatever he wanted to say.
"Hey Neku," you say snapping him out of his thoughts.
"uh yeah?"
You take a deep breath before asking, "What's up with you? I mean, you haven't been the same lately. And, where were you the past three weeks? You just, like, vanished all of a sudden. Is there something your not telling me?" you asked with concern.
"Well, uh-"
"Please! I'm worried about you! I-" you cut yourself off realizing what you just said. You started blushing like mad afterwards. You looked up to see Neku blushing just as bad.
"Hey, I got a question for you."
"Y-Yeah what is it?" you asked still embarrassed about what you said.
He sighed. "Do you, uh, want to go see a movie or something?"
"Uh, sure why not?" you replied.
"Heh, hey mind if I ask you something else?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Well uh, I have a friend, and he's being having some problems."
"What kind of problems?"
He started to blush a bit then answered. "See he has this girl he likes but he's never been able to figure out a way to tell her how he feels. You got any advice you can give my uh friend?"
"Huh, well I dunno really. I mean there's lots of ways for a guy to tell how he feels about a girl I guess. I think what it really depends is who the guy and the girl are. Speaking of which, who's the lucky girl you friend likes?" you ask.
"That's a secret." he said winking.
You stick your tongue at him while he just laughs.
"Well if you can't tell me who the girl is then can you at least tell me who your friend is?" you ask with puppy-dog eyes.
"He's, uh, someone you already know?" he stammered blushing.
"I do?"
"Yeah…look there's…something I have to tell you." he said his blush starting to intensify.
"What is it?" you ask out of curiosity.
He took two deep breaths before continuing. "It's…about the real reason…I called you." You cocked an eyebrow. He took two more deep breaths. "ThereasonIcalledyouhereistotellyouthatIreallyreallylikeyou." he said quickly.
It took you a few moments to comprehend what he said. Once you did you started blushing madly.
"I-Is that t-true?"
"Yeah, see after those three weeks I was gone I started thinking. And yeah, I was wondering if…maybe…you like me too?"
"Y-yeah, of course I do."
"Well then how about that movie then?" He asked smiling.
"Yeah." You say as you grab his arm as the two of you start walking.
